I teach with a bearded dragon, publish scientific research, and upload videos to my YouTube channel.
An Australian desert reptile lives inside our classroom here in the cold, rainy Pacific Northwest. Groot the Bearded Dragon teaches students about herpetology and the effects of IR & UV radiation on cold-blooded animals. Like any hip Gorge lizard, Groot's favorite meal consists of live Argentinian dubia roaches with a side salad of fresh kale and arugula topped with local organic mealworms.
